Egyptian trio advance
A trio of Egyptians advanced in the afternoon session as Salma Hany, Hania El Hammamy and Tarek Momen advanced, with Paul Coll preventing as clean sweep as he overcame Fares Dessouki in four tough games.
In the evening session sees top seeds Camille Serme and Mohamed ElShorbagy won through, as did defending champion Joelle King, while Joel Makin kept domestic hopes alive.
