Youssef Soliman and Iker Pajares have both withdrawn from the upcoming Manchester Open 2025 due to injury, as has Wales’ Tesni Murphy.
Egypt’s Soliman, who was initially named as the top seed for the Bronze-level event, has been replaced at the top of the seedings by World No.13 Aly Abou Eleinen, with Mexico’s Leonel Cardenas moving up to second seed, Colombia’s Miguel Rodriguez to third seed and England’s Declan James to fourth.
Rising English talent Jonah Bryant and compatriot George Parker have now both moved into the top eight seedings and will receive a first-round bye following Soliman and sixth seed Pajares’ withdrawals.
Brazil’s Diego Gobbi and Ireland’s Aaron Allpress have entered the draw from the reserve list. Gobbi faces Simon Herbert and Allpress takes on Patrick Rooney.
In the Women’s draw Wales’ Tesni Murphy has withdrawn, with Mariam Metwally moving up to eighth seed and Asia Harris entering the draw.
