All the action comes from GC1 today, with four enticing matches. Up first as Belgian No.1, and the tournament’s No.4 seed, Nele Gilis, who takes on Welshwoman Emily Whitlock for the first place in the semi-finals. The other women’s match on day three in Manchester will see new Zealand’s Joelle King, the No.2 seed, taking on rising Malaysian star Aifa Azman.

The first men’s contest sees the unseeded Mathieu Castagnet, who is showing some of his best form since his return, take on former World Champion Karim Abdel Gawad for a place in the last four. The last match of the evening is one between training partners, as top seed, and former World No.1 Mohamed ElShorbagy, takes on Malaysian No.1 Eain Yow Ng.
