The first match today will be an all-British battle, as England’s Georgina Kennedy, the World no.9, takes on Welsh No.1 Tesni Evans for a spot in the last four of the competition. They will be followed by men’s English No.1 Patrick Rooney, as he takes on Germany’s Raphael Kandra.

World No.6, and women’s top seed, Sarah-Jane Perry will also be in action this afternoon, taking on compatriot Jasmine Hutton, guaranteeing an Englishwoman in the semi-finals in Manchester. The last match of the day will see British No.1 Joel Makin take on Egypt’s Youssef Soliman, with the winner advancing to the semis.
